How to connect Figma to REFLO the first time

REFLO Team2026. 10. 2. 오후 1:007 min read

A Figma file does not stay on your computer. Connect the account, then register the file. After that, each save shows up on the REFLO timeline.

When you save a Photoshop file into a folder on your computer, REFLO notices the change right away. Figma is different. The file does not stay on your computer the way a .psd does. It lives on Figma’s cloud, so choosing a folder alone does not record it.

Figma needs two steps: connect the account, then register the file with the plugin. Set it up once. After that, each save is added to the REFLO timeline on its own.

What you need

  • A REFLO account. You need to be signed in.
  • The REFLO desktop app. You use it to see the history and restore.
  • A Figma account that can open the file. A file you were not invited to will not connect.
  1. In a browser, open reflo.io.kr/account.
  2. On the Figma card, press Connect Figma.
  3. When Figma asks for permission, click Allow.
  4. Back on the account page, check that the status says Connected.

Where people get stuck:

  • If a sign-in screen appears first, sign in to REFLO, then press Connect Figma again.
  • “The auth session expired” means the page was left open too long. Press Connect Figma again.

Until this step is done, running the plugin in Figma will not register a file.

2. Install the Figma plugin (once)

Keep the file you want to register open in Figma.

If the account page shows Install REFLO in Figma, use that button.

If you have to add it yourself: in Figma choose Plugins → Development → Import plugin from manifest…, then select the manifest.json file shown under Settings > Plugins in the REFLO desktop app. You do this once per computer.

When that is done, run Plugins → REFLO.

3. Let the plugin use this account

  1. In the plugin window, press Connect REFLO.
  2. When the browser opens, click Allow.
  3. When you see that you can return to Figma, go back.

Where people get stuck:

  • A timeout happens if you close the browser before clicking Allow. Press Connect REFLO in the plugin again.
  • “Connect Figma on the account page first” means step 1 is not done. Finish that, then come back to the plugin.

4. Register the file

  1. In Figma, press Share at the top right, then Copy link, and copy the whole file address. If a frame is selected on the canvas, you may copy that frame’s address instead of the file. Clear the selection first, then copy.
  2. Paste it into the plugin and press Register.
  3. When you see that saves will be recorded, you are done.

Where people get stuck:

  • “The link is too short” means only part of the address, or a frame link, was copied. Paste the full address from Share → Copy link again.
  • “Can’t access this file” means the Figma account from step 1 cannot open it. Check that the file opens in Figma with that account.

Register each file once. Next time, just run Plugins → REFLO and the history continues.

What you see in REFLO

In the desktop app, the registered Figma file appears on the timeline. Each save in Figma (Cmd+S / Ctrl+S) is recorded in REFLO.

On the account page, the Figma card shows how many files are linked. If you just registered one and the count is still zero, press Refresh.

When you want the work back

For the edit you just made, use Figma’s own undo (Cmd+Z).

To return to an earlier save:

  • If Figma’s own version history still has it, open that version in Figma.
  • If that older version is gone from Figma, restore it from the copy REFLO kept. REFLO does not overwrite the current file. It continues on a new page.

Copy the restore token from the desktop app, paste it into the Figma plugin, and that moment comes back.
